Is This Really Happening?

While it is a little premature for me to be posting this, since I haven't researched it yet, if any of this is true, it is a little disturbing.

I'm going to be looking into this further. If anyone has evidence that this is happening, please let me know.

Many sites, such as Facebook, do have the option of SSL to encrypt your information transiting the web. However, lots of sites do not default to the secure mode (it's a little slower). It's possible to protect your online identity by using a FireFox add-on called Force-TLS.
